A new ladder put to good use already.

If you remember, I mentioned that I had purchased a Little Giant Ladder for Neal for his anniversary present.  That's what he wanted.  Friday night as we were sitting out on the patio enjoying the cool evening breeze I looked up at the eves of the house and noticed another dang hornets nest just developing.  I could also see that it was fresh and active.  Hornets going in and out and building all kinds of little compartments to bring more and more lovely hornets into this world.  We decided it was a good time to unpack the delivered ladder and put it to good use.  I have to admit it took us a few minutes to figure out how to even open the dang thing.  But, with trial and error and finally got it opened and the legs extended to their full length.  Neal climbed up the ladder armed with wasp and hornet spray.

Neal sprayed the next and another little one to the side of it that we had not noticed.  While he was spraying the wind shifted sending the spray back into his face.  We did notice that as he sprayed the next the hornets dropped from the next.  For a moment it was raining hornets!  The spray kills them instantly and because we did it at sundown they are in the nest and docile.
