Ground Hog Day

I did some research and found out that a ground hog is the same thing as a woodchuck. So the question is - how much ground could a ground hog hog if a ground hog could hog ground? I know, silly humor. but it's been running through my mind. Ground hog day is a stupid day anyway so the stupid poem goes right along with the day, huh?
