Emmi spent her first three weeks on the Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier. She has quite a story of her time there but I'll leave that to her to record. I will tell you this much. The last day on the ship she was called to the admiral's office where he complimented her on what a great job she had done and gave her a challenge coin. Everyone that I've talked to said that those coins are not handed out easily. Ron Stanfield said he was in the service for 18 years before he got one. Another person said it was 13 years before he ever saw one. Emmi is obviously making a name for herself and has been encouraged to apply for OCS (Officer Candidate School). We are so proud of you Emmi.
