Visiting Our California Family

Neal and I had the opportunity to fly to Fresno this past weekend.  When we found out that Peyton had the lead in Beauty and the Beast, we decided that this was a once in a life time experience for Peyton and for us to see her in this production.  Our flight was uneventful except for the new airport here in Salt Lake.  It is a long, long walk from one end of the new airport to the other.  In fact there was a sign (and I wish I had taken a picture of it) that said "7 Minute Walk to Gates B".  Believe me, they were not kidding.  Neal and I were clipping along at a good pace and it takes at least 7 minutes!  Now you need to add more time to your arrival at the airport to not only get through security but to walk to the departing gates.  I did take one picture of the sky.  This is how it was from the time we got in the air until we were coming in to Fresno.  Just never saw the ground.  Just a blanket of clouds all the way.

Coming in to Fresno we could finally see the land below us.  I was fascinated with the miles of fields of raisins, orange trees, lemon trees, etc.  A very fruitful part of our country.
Tucker met us in his new little electric car furnished by the company that he works for.  Peak Power.  He text me and said that I wouldn't miss his car as he drove up and he was certainly right.

We went right to the auditorium to see the play.  When we arrived Jamie had seats for us on the front row.  These are the pictures they had displayed as we came into the auditorium.

This was the program that listed all the different acts and the intermission.
Inside the program.  (Sorry it is sideways - I'll never figure out how to turn my pictures around!)
Tucker and Neal sitting on the front row.  Jamie and a friend on the row behind us.
The cast taking their final call.  The performance was amazing and Peyton was beyond amazing and a beautiful Belle!
I was told that there is a little romance developing between Peyton and the Beast!  For real :-)
After the performance we all met outside with the cast members and tons of pictures were taken.  It was so fun to watch the little girls line up to have their picture taken with Belle.  Peyton was darling with all of them.  Their little faces were just beaming because in their mind - this is Belle for real.

We were very proud grandparents.
