Friday was a busy day

After we had all emerged from rooms, had a chance to wake up and have a little breakfast, we headed off to Costco to possible buy a new TV.  We have wanted a wall TV ever since we finished the basement but it has always been at the bottom of our priority need list.  I always feel confident with our kids in put on what is a good product, a good deal and just right for our needs.  Jamie and I had looked at TV’s the day before and I had in mind just buying a small TV to set on a stand so that the grandchildren would be able to watch DVD’”s when they were over and the adults were telling them to “go downstairs”.  Neal figured if we were spending $300.00 we might as well spend another $300.00 and get a big one and mount it on the wall where we had originally designed it to be.  Neal and Tucker decided on just the right product and home we came with a new TV.  Neal and Tucker spent some time getting it secured on the wall.  It is so nice to finally have a wall TV.

Jamie, Lynda Ann, Emmi and I decided to run some errands while Tucker and Neal were busy hanging the the TV.  So the four of us headed to the Wood Connections where Annie found some fun things she wanted to do for her home and from there to Costco where Annie bought some needed groceries and Jamie and I bought some meats, bread and accessories for lunches on Saturday.  It was fun for the four of us to be able to shop and talk at a leisurely pace without the interruption of little people.

When we got back, the TV was in place, the children were ready for a swim and Annie busied herself making snacks for the adult gathering that evening.  She made Puppy Chow (one of my favorites) and a delicious cracker and veggie dip.

This was just a cute picture I snapped of Peyton and Andrew watching a movie together.  I love how easily all the cousins mix with each other.  They don’t worry about age or gender, they just enjoy each other and make good use of their limited time together.  Unlike adults, they don’t have any hidden feelings or agendas – they just plain like being with each other.
