Family Camping Trip

We got a camp sight at the girls camp above Heber City, Utah.  We could only get it for one night because it is used every week all week long by all the stakes in the church for their girls camps.  During the summer you can only book Friday night and Saturday.  You check in at 2:00 on Friday and check out by 5:00 on Saturday.  No one is allowed to stay over Sunday.
Thus began our family adventure.  Packing up and getting ready to depart.  We were all meeting at WalMart at the mouth of Parleys.  Annie was picking up Tucker on her way in (Tucker flew in for a convention in Park City the next week) and Neal and I stopped by to pick up River.  This is some of the stuff Neal and I were loading.  By the time we got through, the Jeep was loaded!

This was at the meeting place in the parking lot at WalMart.  All the cars are loaded!
Here we are pulling out of the parking lot and beginning our journey to Heber.  I laughed because Lynda Ann was driving their new Suburban, Maren is driving their SUV and I'm behind Maren driving the Jeep.  All girl drivers!
Here we have arrived, and our setting up camp along with a little horse play and orientation from our camp advisers.
This picture has a story.  Annie bought some fancy tie down and couldn't figure out how to make them work.  I heard Greg say something about the fact that the straps were in backwards or something like that.  They were going to get together and figure out how to make them work properly.  Apparently there was a lot of stress with the straps in preparing for the trip.
Emmi was all about taking a picture with Tucker with her BYU shirt on!
We all gathered on the bleachers for our camp orientation.  Basically the dos and don'ts at the camp and what was available for us to do and where those activities were located.  The bunk house behind the group was Bunkhouse C which was the Cutler's chosen place to sleep because as Maren said, "We are the noisiest and need to be the farthest away.  If you dare, you can ask Pa about where we can use the Dutch Ovens!!!!
Annie and Maren getting directions on where the hikes were, the ropes course and the lake.
Neal getting the wood ready to start the fire.
Just a moment with cute Mr. Boston.
