Happy Father’s Day

I love this man and so appreciate all he does for me and for the family.  There is a movie called “It’s A Wonderful Life”.  In the movie there is a comment made that the main character George Bailey, would “lasso the moon” for his girl.  That is the way I feel about Neal.  He would lasso the moon for me if he thought he could.  Happy Father’s Day, Neal.  Thanks for being a GREAT husband and friend.

Our Father’s Day celebration began Saturday afternoon about 4 p.m.  All the families were invited to come for dinner and to spend some time with their dad / grandpa.  Mindy and Jeff were not able to come because they were going camping and Lyndsy said she would be there but without James and the two kids because James would be with his family in Park City.  Lynda Ann and Jeff and the kids along with Lyndsy came at the appointed time and Neal started the grill going.  I had purchased hamburgers and hot dogs along with all the trimmings.  I also bought the big chocolate cake from Costco with vanilla and chocolate ice cream.  At about 4:30 we called Maren to see if they were on the way so we could start cooking and she said that they would not be able to come after all.  I was disappointed that Neal wouldn’t be able to see them and frustrated because I had all this food.  So, I turned to Lyndsy and asked her if she thought James and his family would like to come and eat.  She called them and they accepted the invitation.  We ended up with plenty of food and people to eat it.

James family didn’t stay too long after they ate.  They were on their way to downtown Salt Lake where they were having a chalk art festival.  Lyndsy and Desmond stayed to visit and play games.  Lyndsy gave her dad a free massage for Father’s Day that he could collect on at the end of the summer.  Neal was thrilled.  He loves Lyndsy’s massages.  Lyndsy joined the Goss’s later that evening.  Jeff and Annie and the kids stayed until about 9:30 and then headed home.
