Fast trip to San Diego

Judy, Ron, Neal and I made a quick trip to San Diego to obtain our Sentri passes.  This little pass will allow us to enter the United States in a matter of 10 to 30 minutes as apposed to 3 to 4 hours!  It has been a rather long process but we finally have officially been approved.  We drove to San Diego on Wednesday and did a little shopping on the way.  We stopped at Las Vegas at the outlet mall and then in Primm for Neal to shop at the Tommy Bahama outlet store.  We always stop at In and Out Burger in either St. George or Las Vegas.  Depends on the arrival time.  We arrived in San Diego at midnight.  IMG_4275IMG_4276IMG_4277

Thursday morning we headed over to the Government offices right by the border.  If you reached out your hand you would almost be standing in the United States and Mexico at the same time.  We were all interviewed, finger printed and stamped approved for the passes that will arrive in the mail in 10 days.  After we left the offices, we stopped in McDonalds to use their restrooms and then on our way.  We dropped Neal off at the airport (he was flying to Fresno to spend the weekend with Tucker for his birthday – more on that later) and then Ron, Judy and I had to go to another government office to get their car inspected and approved to be a Sentri pass car.  We left San Diego at 5 pm and drove straight home arriving in Salt Lake at 4:45 a.m.  A wild and fast two day trip!  We got a kick out of the sign that hung on the second floor of McDonalds.  Do you love the verb usage?
