Neal and I wanted to have dinner with just the adult children so we planned a get together for Sunday evening. Everyone said they could come but at the last minute Maren couldn't get off work and Greg couldn't come either. We did have Jeff and Annie, Jeff and Mindy and Lyndsy and James. We had a delicious dinner of home made potato soup (made by Annie) with a salad and fruit and ice cream for dessert. After dinner we informed the kids that the reason we had them there was to tell them that we wanted to rent a beach house for the family for next Christmas. We had Tucker and Jamie on the phone and were able to include them in the conversation. Everyone seemed excited about the prospects. Neal and I just felt that with Emmi getting close to graduating from college, Mallory and Jaden reaching missionary age in two years that this might be the last time we could get the whole family together before missions and marriages. This is the picture of the table settings for the adult dinner. Some times it is nice to just have a small group! I loved using our brown and white china.
Of course I had to take a picture of my Christmas Cactus. This wonderful gift blooms every single Christmas and I love it.
