The subways–always an adventure!

There never seemed to be a time when we were on the trains that they weren’t packed with people.  It was good that Derek knew what trains we were to be on and what level we needed to be on to catch the right train.  We headed downtown and had to change subways 3 times.  There was one time when the train was so packed that I couldn’t see how we could possible fit in, but we made it.  I remember putting my arms around Greg’s waist and having him literally pull me in the train before the doors closed.  One time Derek, Jaden and Taylor made it on the train and before the rest of us could get on the doors closed!  Derek made a face and yelled “one stop”.  We got on the next train that was about 2 minutes behind and joined Derek and the kids at the next stop.  There is no hesitation when getting on and off the subways, that we realized in a hurry.

Neal found the chocolates and had to stop and buy some.

I had no idea how many floors there were in the shopping mall.  We stopped here to see if we could find a Toys R Us to buy some Rook Cards.  We were all sure that every night when we got home we would play some games.  Everyone was so tired when he got back to the apartment that we all collapsed.  We did not play one game the whole time we were there!  That is how busy Derek kept us.
