Maxfield Family Reunion

Neal's family, on the Nixon side, had their annual family reunion.  This year it was held at St. George and Jacob Lake.  Lots of activities planned for all who attended.  I don't know for sure how many people actually showed up, but it was over 100 people.

Neal and I left for St. George on a Wednesday morning.  Our first event was the United We Pledge exhibit, sponsored by Glenn Beck.  I'm not much of a museum goer but tagged along for Neal.  We were taken though in groups of 40, which was a little big for the space and noise, but it worked out fine.  Saw lots of history and heard a few too many lectures :-)  It took a couple hours and I was so done by the time we got out.  Here are some pictures:

After the event we checked in to our hotel.  We got a call from Rick and Deanna wanting us to have dinner with them so we met them that evening for pizza and a long talk.  The next morning we headed to the golf course in Hurricane for nine holes with a couple from Neal's study group.  After the golf game we had lunch and then back to our hotel.

That evening there was a dinner at one of the stake centers in St. George.  The next morning they were having a tour of the old homes in St. George, which Neal and I were not really interested in so he went golfing with Ned and I stayed and read and did some stitching.  We checked out around noon.  Had lunch with Ned and Laura and then headed to Jacob Lake.
