It seems like we just barely got out the Halloween decorations when it was time to take them down and get ready for Thanksgiving. So with that in mind it was also time to change out the china hutch in preparation for the holidays. This is always Neal’s task that he loves to do. So, our Saturday was clearing most of the plants off the patio and setting up the home for Thanksgiving.
Lynda Ann, being the craft wizard that she is, is making these cute turkey name cards for the table. The grandchildren will love them because they will know right where to sit and at which table and also because the turkey is glued to a small Hershey Bar! Bonus!!
Before:
After. The challenge this year was where to display the huge platter and the punch/soup tureen. The punch bowl fit nicely on the bottom shelf but the platter was just way to tall of fit in the cabinet so it was decided to use the space above to show it off. We were quite please with the final outcome and look. Neal, you do a fabulous job!
The bonus to my Saturday was when Neal came home from Lyndsy’s, after having a massage, and brought me an early Christmas present from Lyndsy. I had permission to open it and I was delighted with the three wooden, Thanksgiving candle décor. They are absolutely darling and I love them and I love that you took the time to make them for me. Thank you Lyndsy. They shall be part of the Thanksgiving décor until the wick reaches the bottom of the candy and there is no more wax to burn! LOVE them! **The camera didn’t get the true color of the candles. The largest one is a dark gold, the second one more of a pumpkin orange and the smallest a lighter pumpkin orange.
