A day at Pismo Beach

Pismo Beach is about 2 1/2 hours from Tucker and Jamie’s.  We arrived there right at lunch time and decided that we all had to eat at The Splash Café.  This little café is famous all over for it’s clam chowder.  The wait wasn’t long and the food absolutely delicious and as good as Tucker and Jamie said it would be.

After lunch we headed to the beach, set up our spot and the adventure began.  Even though it was freezing cold water the kids jumped in.  The also gathered a great variety of sea urchins, shells and lots of sand dollars.  While the kids were playing and digging in the sand, Neal and I decided to wander through the stores where we ended up at an ice cream store and even though we were cold, had to indulge.

When every one came up from the beach it was time to rinse all the sand off, dry off and get dry clothes on for the long ride home.

It was a very, very fun day and I’m sure one that will be long remembered by all the kids.  Tucker and Jamie are great at accommodating everyone’s wants and needs.  Thanks to you both for your generosity and hospitality.  We had a wonderful time.
