Provo City Temple Excursion

Emmi wanted to do some sealings for her dad's side of the family.  Mallory made arrangements for Neal and I, Jeff, Lynda, Mallory and Emmi to do those at the Provo City Temple.  It was a beautiful experience.  It is so hard to put into words the spiritual feelings that come with temple ordinances.  They really can't be explained - one has to experience them for themselves.  There was a moment during the sealings that Lynda Ann was kneeling at the alter in proxy for a child being sealed to her parents.  The officiator stopped for a moment and couldn't go on because the spirit in the room was so strong.  He then interjected some comments about the importance of the children being sealed to their parents and that when children are sealed to the parents it is all about the child.  He had no idea that Lynda Ann was adopted and how meaningful his words were.  As he was talking, I went back in time to that little girl of mine, who was just a year old, sitting on the alter in her little white dress and being sealed to me.  She would be mind for eternity.  What an incredible blessing.  What a beautiful gift from our Savior.  We did later share with the officiator that Lynda Ann was adopted and how meaningful this ordinance is.  Thanks to Emmi and Mallory for arranging this beautiful time to be together as a family.
