Saturday the family didn’t have anything planned until 2:00 p.m. so it was a day of sleep deprivation catch up! No one in our household stirred until about 9:00 a.m. Even the little ones seemed to be worn out. Jamie was working on her blog when I wandered downstairs. I could see this was a good opportunity to pick her brain on a couple computer and blogging questions. She did some tutorial work with me, which I was most appreciative.
At 2:00 p.m. the adults were meeting at the Steak House by South Towne Mall. It was nice to be able to enjoy a good lunch and visiting with each other without the constant interruptions from all the children. It was nice to be able to actually complete a thought or story.
Sometime during our lunch it was whispered that James was having a birthday. Now we all know that James birthday if March 1st and the date was July 14! Greg had told our waitress that it was James birthday and poor James had no idea he was being set up. As the meal was coming to a close, the waitresses gathered around James to announce very loudly, that it was his birthday and let’s all wish him Happy Birthday! They had James get out of his seat and sit on a saddle while they sang to him. We were all laughing so hard at the expense of James embarrassment. Thanks James for being a good sport. One never knows what is going to happen in this family. Of course Tucker got the credit for the prank, but I’m thinking Greg had something to do with it!
We left the restaurant and asked one of the waitresses to follow us outside where we took a couple of pictures. One of those rare moments when Tucker isn’t either jumping or making a funny face! A few of us stopped at the mall and did a little shopping before heading home.
